One thing that I love about my kids…their faces! There is always a funny face happening at most moments of our days…even the wee one:) They keep me laughing! I love these kiddos!
“Love is something more stern and splendid than mere kindness.”

I love taking photographs.
I love that my children love taking photographs…all of them…even wee one.
I love that they love eachother.
I love capturing their moments…even when they don’t know I am looking.
I love them.
Love.

Sometimes lately I wonder why things are happening…all around me… Wondering why we have to live through so much pain and heartache??? Knowing in my own heart…my heavenly Father is faithful. Knowing in my own heart that He loves us always and wants to heal our hurts. Wondering why we have to watch loved ones around us journey down roads that we question…and know are not of God. I don’t have the answers, but I do know God’s peace in the midst. In the midst of my own feelings of hurt, pain, question, confusion…He still brings peace. I am constantly amazed. I find this peace in the little things. I am so thankful for my faith…and for hope. I don’t know how people walk through stuff without having hope???!!! I don’t get it…and for those I know that struggle with this…I pray they will know this hope one day.
I found this quote and love it. I don’t want to get so caught up in the “quest for the true fact” that I lose sight of the “quest for TRUTH”…
Here’s to the New Year…and to the journey to finding God’s truth in each of our lives!
“There is a relentless search for the factual and this quest often lacks warmth or reverence. At a certain stage in our life we may wake up to the urgency of life, how short it is. Then the quest for truth becomes the ultimate project. We can often forage for years in the empty fields of self-analysis and self-improvement and sacrifice much of our real substance for specks of cold, lonesome factual truth. The wisdom of the tradition reminds us that if we choose to journey on the path of truth, it then becomes a sacred duty to walk hand in hand with beauty.”
— John O’Donohue
So if you know my husband at all…you know his favorite dessert…is a chocolate chip cookie! Nothing fancy…all he wants is chocolate chip cookies. For his birthday…for any special holiday celebrating whatever…chocolate chip cookies. I have figured out how to do this so he gets his lovely little warm cookie whenever he wants…and it works brilliantly! I double my recipe (this is one of our favs…Itsy Bitsy Chocolate Chip Cookies…minus the “itsy bitsy” in our house) and then scoop them out with my little Pampered Chef scoop (love!) and place them on a cookie sheet…and into the freezer. Frozen balls of yumminess…anytime you want! He loves this…more than just about anything! Loves!!!
He started making cookies with the boys a couple of Christmas’ ago and it has kinda stuck! The boys love it…and then we eat it!!! And we all love that;)
And after a wonderfully busy “elving” kind of day…a “Christmas Eve Gift” to you!!! Gotcha!!!

Today this picture has nothing to do with my post…hopefully I am not breaking some “blogging rule” that I don’t know about.
I am thankful for friends!
Thankful for good food…mmmm…love me some Papa’s and Beer!!!
Thankful for another trip to the movies! (Twice in one week…I have not been in a year and then this…ha!)
Thankful for laughter!
Thankful for love…unconditional love for one another.
That. is. it.
***Just a quick look at some of our salt-dough ornaments…love.
